DEBATE What are your thoughts on Celebrities Defending Islam?

Yeah, that's pretty much standard operating procedure for dictators... claim you are democracy. Sad thing is, a quite a few of dictators originally came to power by being elected (Hitler and Mussolini are worst cases) so their countries were democracies before them.

But that is not limited to dictatorial regimes claiming to be democratic... most of the time someone label himself/herself something, truth if probably exact opposite.

 

Problem is that there is no such thing as "unbiased and free Press" in USA... there haven't been one in years (at least 25, possibility even 30 years). The moment media started worrying about "ratings" so it could sell advertising space, it stopped being unbiased for the simple reason that unbiased press doesn't sell. Consequently, there is no media in USA that you can trust...

 

Yup. A lot of that going on in Central and South America for awhile.

 

Prime example would be the Freedom Caucus...aka the Tea Party.

 

The GOP may be old but it hasn't been grand for a long time.

They should change their chant to MAGFT because his idea of making America great is anything that makes him look good. What most of the followers and supporters on the right fail to realize or desperately try to ignore is that much of what Trump and the party in power is doing benefits the few, harms the majority and tries to ignore, go around or bulldoze pesky things like the Constitution, people's rights, and the health and lives of millions. They bend over forwards to rationalize and justify immoral orders and legislation, self serving regulation changes, and unqualified and incompetent appointments. Question something that happened yesterday and they'll try to defend it by bringing up something that happened 8 years ago and half the time that will be just a conspiracy theory that they believe actually happened. The second they use those so-called made up word insults, which make them sound like they're still in high school, I know they don't think for themselves and have given over any moral compass and sense of right to the mob mentality.

As a side thought, and steering back towards topic . Trump is heading out of the country for the economic summit. One of the stops he's making is a Muslim country, I wonder if they'll ban him?
