vbulletin - update - in the making, hopefully.

It's already full sized -- it's only scaled on your screen. If you view it in a new tab (right click, Ctrl-View Image in Firefox) or save it, you'll get the full size image.

 

I know that the search is being tweaked but please fix this problem. You have to search pape after page to find something or avoid a repeat.

No re-posting is one of the most important rules here, so I can bet that that issue have high priority and that they work rly hard to fix that. We will just have to wait and be patient.

I uploaded just 1 video since changes, and will not anymore. I dont want to report 30 of my own videos when search start working again

Ps. Maybe this would be good upgrade: To add all banned filehosts/picture hosts/Phun approved models into some kind of list of banned content so that you cant even post if u have that phrase in your topic? Dont know how hard would be to do that, since i dont know much about forum management.

I'm not sure why it's different than on the old vBulletin version, but I'll make sure to make it possible to view a single post.

@ all other requests. As you know, the new software is online since around 24 hours, we gonna need a few more days to get everything to work properly.

Personally I'm also not the biggest fan of the new layout and will make sure to offer two options for our users, so they can choose which layout they want to use. But I know for a fact, that the old layout isn't available for the v4, so I'll look for a layout which looks the most like the old one.

@search - there seems to be a problem with the database, but we're working on getting it back.

But keep us posted if you run into any kind of errors or problems and let us know what you like and what you don't like.

 

Personaly i like to see the number of thanks and thanked gone, a thanks button okay but lose the numbers. There are some that think that the number of thanks you get are important. IMO it doesn't matter if a person has 1 thanks or 1.000.000 thanks, only thanks that may be important is the thanks one posts gets, like the Scarlett OP got.

 

I agree that there are other things that are more important. However, I don't think it hurts to ask if this feature is going to be added with all the other changes, especially since other people have been asking for it for a while. I'm not saying add it now, or demanding it. I am just asking if it has been thought about and if it will be added at some point.

I don't see the harm in asking, especially when I have heard on other forums that it is pretty simple to enable. :2cent:

That Scarlett thread I posted had 1,200+ thanks. It was great. Personally, I love the thanks option and it was one of the things that kept me coming back and posting more. Trying to find the best new pictures that would get the most thanks and trying to get my thanked average up to as high as possible. It's like a little competition, which is great for getting people to come back for more. Other forums use like/dislike buttons, but I'm glad this site doesn't have a dislike/vote down button, as then people would just vote down whoever they don't like and it causes problems. With a simple thanks, the people who don't like you or your threads can't do any damage and the people who do like you and your threads can show appreciation. It's always fun seeing which members like certain pics and whatnot. Now, obviously, you could care less about the thanks button and I'm sure others feel the same way as you. But others like me really do care about the thanks button and it was one of the main reasons I liked to post all the time, which is why I'm glad it'll be coming back soon. Just my little rant - nothing against you Cold As Ice.

I'm beginning to get a little pissed at the redundant questioning where the fucking thanks button is concerned. This issue has already been addressed/responded to on numerous occasions. If you can't wait till we get things sorted with the update, take your business elsewhere. I think I speak for all things green, and red when I say WE ARE AWARE, AND IT WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

So is it normal to be treated like garbage by a mod when bringing up your concerns or complaints about a new format look or change? I have to say I'm quite surprised and shocked at some of the comments made.

Yes, I realize that MANY (if not all) complaints and comments have been addressed...but do we really need to jump down people's throats? I don't post much on Phun, so hopefully my voice will be just as loud as other people's.

Hopefully the mods realize (and I'm sure they do) that it's the COMMUNITY of people that come here that make PHUN...PHUN. So if you continue to treat people like garbage, and jump down their throats, what reason do they have to come back?

Just my 2 cents. Like I said...I am just kind of shocked and surprised at some of the comments and replies. I FULLY realize the stress they must be under, but I guess it comes with the title. Shouldn't it be handled a bit more...diplomatically?

Anyway, I fully expect to be jumped all over here. Go ahead. Like I said, I don't post much. I don't know how loud my voice will be in the sea of Phun.
