I promise this happened for real in a French class when I was at school.

My mate Mark was sitting there fucking around and Mr Sartori, an Italian teaching us French, threw the blackboard eraser at him and it hit him on the head. Mark got out of his seat and threw the chair across the room at him.

The only reason both didn't get sacked/expelled was they made a deal with the headteacher to keep it quiet and brush it under the carpet.

A few months later, Mark did get suspended. He knocked the RE teacher (female) to the floor and unloaded a full fire extinguisher over her as she lyed there.

It's called a mole rat, but is neither a mole nor a rat apparently. Lives in the desert underground I think, only just recently discovered.

They must be closely related to rats as they're clearly rodents, although it's not a species I know much about.

I guess you're right about the underground bit, although they do have a passing resemblance to moles, they're no closer to them genetically than we are.

It's all in the teeth. Rodents have chisel-like gnawing teeth that grow continuously throughout there lives, which why they must keep chewing things to keep them short, they aren't eating wood or electric wires in our houses at all(most of the time).

Moles are insectivores with lots of small needlelike teeth designed to crush up worms and insects, not unlike mini carnivora.

More interestingly though is that mole rats are the only cold blooded mammals, your guess as to why they are or how they managed it is as good as mine.
