I like the beach mostly, used to go to the mountains but it's been a while since we've done that. Wife and kids prefer the beach as well.

5 Hour drive, not to bad. With us having 3 kids we make a day out of it. We stop half way and eat, then usually stop again 3/4 way for ice cream or something of the sort - then I let her drive the rest of way and open a cold one

 

You have the priorities right

Im lucky - The wife never drinks, I can drink whenever I want - She also prefers to drive as she thinks I drive a little too fast, although Ive not driven since the accident

 

Mine very seldom drinks. Depends on who's vehicle we take on who drives. When we go San Destin we take my truck so we can take the kids bikes and my fishing rods, most other places we take her car because of gas milage. She don't about me drinking either as long as I'm not driving.

two boys do, daughter hadn't got in to it. I suspect she will this year, if not next. They've got lakes all around the golf course there, we just walk to them with small tackles rods and fish for panfish mostly.

 

We have the sea on our doorstep - Fishing trips out on the wrecks or lakes and rivers for the fresh water fishing

I prefer the deep sea wreck fishing - Best ever was a 80lb conger eel

Im hoping my little girl will wanna do it but shes shit scared of a snail!!!

 

I love deep sea fishing as well. Used to go twice a year be we stopped for some reason. Damn, 80 lbs. Best I've landed was 28 lb amberjack.

She'll probably come around, especially is she's a "daddy's girl" - she's just not old enough to be interested in it yet

 

Shes definately a Daddys girl - Being at home all the time for the past 18 months, she has me doing everything for her - Its cute but can be annoying

I was gutted with the 80lb er - Im happy with the weight but put up no fight at all - Ive had more fun with 6 or 7 mackeral on the feathers at about a pound each

I know what you mean - mine's 5 and still makes me tie her friggin shoes sometimes. She's really more of a momma's girl though - the boys follow me around.

Took me 15 - 20 minutes to get that amberjack up, I sat down for 1/2 hour after we netted him - they are strong. I have extremely lightweight poles for bream and crappie fishing - we enjoy that more than anything.

haha - I googled conger eel as well - that's one ugly sob

 

On the same boat trip I got the 80lb er - One man pulled up a 30lb Tope that took nearly 2 hours to get up - He never fished the rest of the trip as his arms felt like that had been melted of in acid

I wanted to feel that pain - Never will now - Couldnt land something bigger than 2lb now

 

I didn't get a PB alert at all today. I wonder where she has been?

Never heard of a Tope either. Amberjack, Red Snapper, and Trigger Fish are mostly what we caught.

Cheer up man, keep doing your therapy and you never know what you may eventually be able to do.

well i am missing her already. I wonder if she got plastered from yesterday.

I think most energy drinks are an aquired taste. If you like the stuff it is very addicting.

 

That goes for Vodka - Red Bull in my case

Never tried one, I drink the hell out of coffee everyday - if I had one of those on top of it I'd never be able to sleep at night.
