Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     Another person and myself manage all of the windows, netware, and linux servers yes. I have about 60 that I take care of, we have 85-90 in all...adding about 30 over the next 3 months.

    Yeah, I won't be around near as much the next 2 weeks. It goes in cycles, busy as hell for a while then slacks off for a while. About 20 of the new adds are linux so the other admin will handle those.

    When it comes to computers, I'm a bloody user. So I've always called in some admin for help. Kinda left the picture: they come, I complain, they smile/complain and make the problem disappear or their heads turn red/start cursing and tell my I won't be able to use that comp that day anymore.

    LOL - You have to understand that many, many times in IT's eyes it's common sense issues that you should know. I get pissed off more than anything at people they say "it's not my job to fix this - you make it work" when I'm asking them questions about their problems.

    We rotate call here every 6 weeks. Being a hospital it doesn't make a damn what time it is, if there is a problem you've got to fix it. It's 2:00 a.m. and a printer is jammed on a nursing station, all they have to do is open the damn thing a pull the toner out, pull the paper out, and put the toner back in. Then I hear that, makes me want to shoot someone. :mad:


    haha - you'd be surprised at how many calls a day I get to reset passwords. We make you change your passwords every 90 days here and it can't be one you'ev already used - this blows people's minds.
