    Clearly, you've never watched either Blade Runner or Aliens originals side-by-side with their DC's.....oh, usually. My bad. ;)

    Oddly, a single reference in the DC of Independence Day changes the tone slightly; Randy Quaid's drunken character is actually Miguel's (the eldest boy) step-father. Makes the final `Dad!` mean a bit more.

    There's aren't that many DC's that are inferior to the original. The only one I know of is Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves; there's this whole pagan sub-plot and bit about the witch that drags the movie down. Original romp is far superior.
