  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Hey Al, I'd research the 27" thing a little more. The 21 inch is the gold standard, though. It sounds like, from that info, that it's an intermittent QC thing with the 27-incher.

    do you think those problems are just with the monitors and will a new one ( hopefully covered under warranty ) solve the problem?

    I just went to 2 Mac sites. Sounds like they are delaying shipment to some resellers to replace the graphics cards. They're on top of it. A warranty would certainly cover it. Some are reporting no problems, some are reporting display problems like flickering, green tint.

    EDIT: That news is as of yesterday (Dec. 15), so they're staying on top of it.

    My heart would want the 27, but my logic would tell me to go with the 21". I'd go to an Apple store and see what they say. They don't bullshit you there.

    Well atleast here in the netherlands they first didn't want to admit they had any issues with the 27" but now that alot of people are complain i guess they had to....
