Hey, do you live near Chicago? I noticed your in the Central time zone... Or was that someone else???

 

Cubs are losing 3-0 in the 7th. I live about 30 to 40 minutes from Wrigley. It's actually not that bad if you like Diet Pepsi, If you're used to coke than it really would be disgusting.

ps. my friend used to live 2 blocks from Wrigley, that was awesome.

Just started my first beer and seeing how the weekend goes...

 

My sister and I had a place just south of Halsted and Addison back in the good old days. If we opened our windows we could hear the roar of the crowd coming from Wrigley. Growing up, probably went to see the Cubs play 200 times. I'm originally from Mount Prospect - just north of O'Hare.

Sounds like my typical morning! Drunk at sunrise!!!

 

LOL nothing wrong with an early morning drunk - I work nights so hell that's what I'm used to....

I worked as a bartender in New Orleans (N'awlins) for a spell; being drunk in the morning was as common as fuzzy sunrises as far as I'm concerned!

yeah I tended in Hawaii part time for a while, similar thing... wandering home still buzzed & then going straight to the other job...

I've been good man. Good to see you again. You still doing the horrible late shifts and such?

 

Yeah horrible shifts, lots of extra work, and domestic issues piled on top of it... so life has been fun.
On the other hand, I can say that not sleeping much, not eating much and lots of stress is a great weight loss program...

 

Fuck, doesn't sound good at all. Hope you've got a beer or two there to help you unwind a bit.

and I've just hit the point now of trying to survive if that makes sense... but I appreciate the thought.

What's going to happen will happen, I'm just trying to do the best I can.

 

My other job was bein' stone drunk, passed out on a stoop where tourists could take pity on me and leave spare change next to my passed out ass so when I awoke I could go get a good meal in me! Swear to god! I'd pass out on the steps to my apartment house cuz I was too blitzed to make it upstairs and I'd come to an hour later with money tucked into my shirt pocket or discreetly hidden somewhere under my body! Very fuckin' strange now that I look back on it!

No alcohol yet, maybe will have a beer or two later. It's hard though, Dad is recovering from a kidney problem and can't drink for the moment so I don't like swilling beer down in front of him.

And the gardening itself, we postponed till tomorrow, and I'll be busy watching my sports team playing during the core gardening hours so hopefully I can get out of it altogether
