They're pretty damn strick around here. They even card me when I buy cigs..which you can legally buy them at 18 or 19...can't remember. My point is I damn sure don't look like a teenager anymore. Alcohol is 21, and yes..I get carded everytime I buy it.
    That would suck!

Our liquor stores don't even sell beer, only liquor. Gotta get it from gas stations or grocery stores or Wal-Mart ofcourse.

home breweries yes, stills no. Although we pretty much ignore the stills rule. The microbrew stuff is usually total crap, but I've had some simply superb corn mash liquor. And blackberry wine and brandies are major gifts around Christmas.

ya, and the liquor stores are not allowed to refrigerate the beer either. When I went to college, one of the liquor stores near by had a special cooling a/c unit that kept the store at 50 degrees, which did not classify as refridgerated and you could still enjoy it walking right out of the store.

    Same here as for Cyl.
It's not common though. Only people like lb do it, and usually they it because they enjoy the process more than the end product. It's like growing a vegetable garden, sure you can but a tomato in a store but it's fun watering it and watching it grow.

I will try not to take inslut to that since my homebrew is practically world famous. Troops have taken it back to Iraq with them and shared it with their crew. Family and friends have taken my beer to Texas, Rhode Island, Oregon, California, and Florida. All want more of what I make, so since you said "usually", I will consider my brew "unusual".

Besides, tomato-wise there is absolutely no comparison between a constantly tended homegrown tomato and the styrofoam versions they sell in stores/restaurants.
