Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     It's highly scriptable, and open source, both of which are great if you're into that.

    If you're not, the combination of the above mean that:
    1. It's free.
    2. It's available on many platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, some handhelds/set-top devices, etc).
    3. It's got some cool complex functionality (toolz found the "make a drop shadow" function) out of the box. It also lacks some of what PS has.
    4. The interface is rather different from PS.
