Hey, it's not because FF is gone that we shall stop speaking.

My bro ends his 2nd adult-college year today and, as he said, his results seem great. Well, I hope for him.

 

I went into shock. I started drinking my dinners and spent all my time in the topless bars. I never tried to contact her after the divorce was official (she left me for another guy who made a lot of money). I'm still waiting for the "next" woman to come into my life. I came close once, but not quite.

He's 19. He'll move with us because he can't find any friends to live : he can't pay by his own. He told me he prefers moving now.

Yeah. I'm kind of student who likes to manipulate, having something ready to work on and pratice. Example : I hate theory works. But when I can work using some instructions, it becomes easier for me to learn. I MUST see what I do. If I don't have a direct image, it becomes hard and almost useless.

 

The way it happened for you was pretty abrupt & unexpected I figure from what you have said, very hard to take that no matter who you are.
I saw this coming a long way off, have spent the last 4-5months trying to put things back together, but she wouldn't budge, wouldn't give in, all the change had to be done by me, or else.

It is important whatever happens in life to look after yourself, this I firmly believe.
Regardless of how strong you may think you are, no-one can stand on their own.
Sometimes one is lucky enough to find a life partner, who they can stand with regardless of what comes their way (my parents are people like that) for the rest of us, we need to find the true friends among the general melee of people that pass through our lives, & use the support they give (& they the support they get back) to deal with what life throws at us.
This is both easier & harder, as we find we have to lean on (& will get leant on by) different people at different times.
This makes us less reliant on one individual, but we have to be able to identify that individual or group of individuals at the time a particular crisis happens.

There are people here who helped me, Toolz in particular, just by responding to something I did, at the time I needed something most.

 

Sounds like you learn much like I do,
to some it looks almost intuitive, but it is based on seeing a use or a need for something, & finding the tools or the means to do what is needed.

 

I recently passed a test to find my orientation if I could be in a work environment. And I say true : I'm more the kind of manipulating.
