Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     saw that thread, yes...

    at least here in germany there are a lot of gas-station claiming (quite reliable) that they are more or less living on the "extras" as long as we have a shop-closing-hour... beverage (not only soft), tobacco, candies, newspapers etc.

    well... i don´t think the big companies are "starving to death" these days...
    the ones who are are the people in nigeria and elsewhere - those who loose their land but don´t get any kind of revenue from shell, exxon, bp or the "goverments" of their contries.

    btw: i own some shares of wind-energy-companiies... the big deals with this are made by bp right now.

    Cheers, dude. Unfortunately I am in the office all day (14th day straight) and thus cannot get to see them just yet! My company got me a nice, extended-stay hotel room, they could have saved a lot of money by buying me a camp bed and a microwave!

    You're right about the local population in general, but I have met some guys, for example in Angola, who have done very well out of the presence of the majors. They got a good education and are now engineers and have great prospects.
