14000DKK isn't bad for a couch.

 

I'm off for a coffee and then couch shopping.

Alot of people here buy cheap couches that cost $400-500 (so about 2500 krones, roughly), so what we're spending is considered quite a lot.

There is stuff available that's over $7k, but we've found we can get a great quality couch that will last us a decade for $3-4k.

Hopefully we can find one today.

I agree, esp. the couch and bed. Also, get some new pillows every couple of years.

There are a few other things I won't scrimp on but that I can live without (e.g. having no Scotch is better than having cheap Scotch).

 

I'm like that with my reds.

If i can't justify buying a quality bottle of red, i don't bother getting anything.

Life is too short to drink bad red wine (or coffee, actually).

 

Coffee? *shudders* I can't drink the stuff. Tea I enjoy every so often, and Milo is delicious.

I'd almost give my left nut for a well-made coffee.

And that brings me to another rant.

People who go into great coffee houses and order a coffee, only to put 3-4 sugars in it because coffee is "not sweet enough".

Coffee is fucking bitter, if you want sweet, go buy a fucking bottle of Coke.

I feel the same way about anyone who buys that turgid crap they sell at Gloria Jeans and Starbucks.
Not only if it full of sugar, but it's sweetened so much it takes like fucking flavoured milk.

Never had a sip of coffee in my life, I doubt I ever will.

 

Why is that, ss? Just more a fan of sweet drinks?

I was like you until a few years ago, never drank coffee, but one day i tried a brilliant short black and have never looked back.

I don't drink lots of bad coffee like many, i'm a proud coffee snob and only have one a day.

We've just invested in a rather expensive coffee machine for our new place, and i can't wait to crank out brilliant coffees on a daily basis.

 

I'm just not a fan of hot liquids. I can't stand tea, coffee, not even hot chocolate.

 

I guess I can't say i'm not a fan of coffee, I just dont plan on tasting it since I dont like any other hot drinks

 

I heard it was about 37, they said that when I was watching the Grand Prix. Ouch, I feel for you guys. Pleasant day here today. Just had an afternoon snooze, feel a lot better.
