You didn't answer my question. I have been moderating this forum for over 4 years since it's inception. I have a hand in crafting, reviewing, or implementing every single rule on here. So are you saying that I should allow for people to insult me on how I should implement MY rules and how i manage this forum? Put yourself in my shoes. Would you be insulted?

Sure, why not? Like I said, sometimes saying nothing at all speaks volumes. Ignoring people who are trying to get a rise out of you just proves you're above it, and usually irritates them because they feel slighted by the lack of response. It's like looking someone in the eye and saying in a bored tone, "Sorry, did you say something?" as if their words meant nothing to you. I do it all the time to my roommate's son. He's a fuckwit. I don't waste my breath on him, nor do I care what he thinks.

 

If i say nothing it would also be construed as me being indifferent or allowing such behavior to exist. We have 3 new mods that are just added so should i allow him to use this same behavior on them as well? Like i said to you in our initial conversation. I use the words I know to convey my point. I don't beat around the bush and that is how I operate. That is how I also moderate this forum. To expect anything different from me is foolhardy.

you didn't answer my second question about billy's second snide remark.

as far as this statement, how do you think it is incorrect? If i ignored it that means i am condoning such behavior. If I can warn him and tell him to stop or face consequences that is a definitive thing. Like i said beating around the bush and hoping billy will assume i don;t condone such behavior vs. me nipping the problem at the bud I would rather nip it at the bud.

actually those two remarks i quoted were back to back without me saying anything. If you look at the forum issues thread again you would see that those were actually his duplicate posts back to back. So should i say nothing and let him continue to carry on or should i had put a stop to it? Please advise.
