Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     If you've got an amp and want unpowered speakers, B&W is the best I've found in the lower price ranges but I don't know what their current lines are called.

    Neither's deficient enough to require a subwoofer.

    Seriously, I have a pair of those Audioengine A5's and my only complaint is that they're a little too bassy; unless I'm hosting a party, I EQ down the bass a little.

    B&Ws are more balanced but those are more unpowered main-stereo speakers.
