    Fastest I have ever been on a bike was about 165 MPH, at least, that was what the Florida Highway Patrol Officer said. It was a Norton 950 Commando bored out to 1100 cc with all extra weight removed. It was set up for cafe racing.

    Now, I rarely come close to 90 MPH. The older I get the more acute my allergy to pain becomes!

    I've been over 170 in a stock car at Pocono Int'l Raceway, and 140 on the highway. But I had 4 wheels and metal all around me.

    Yep! I was about 25 then, on a clear, long, straight, no intersection or driveway road. Just me and the trooper! ha And he did not give me a ticket!

    130 was about max for a stock 950, this was 1100 head, HP carb, ignition, exhaust (straight megaphone). My Honda 750 would do 130. This bad boy was much faster.

    The stock car? Oh Yeah!! 4 story elevation changes, flat corners, longest straight-a-way in NASCAR.

    It was Awesome!!

    Highway was cool too! 2am in my 1987 Monte Carlo SS

    One of the scaredest (that is southern for scared shitless) I have ever been was 130 in a late 60's Camero. My bikes were much more stable. That damn car was all over the place! I still almost wet my pants thinking about it.:eek:

    My older brother did the Richard Petty Experience in Charlotte, NC several years ago. He said he never got even close to the Cup speeds, enjoyed the experience, but is not interested in doing it again - He has a new respect for the NASCAR drivers.
