Jeff Gordan won the first NASCAR race at Indy when he was 24 years old......today, 20 years later, he also won it at age 44.

 

He hasn't won in a while, has he?

 

Today was his 5th career win at Indy and I believe his 3rd win this season....he is leading the championship points race for this year currently. He had a few rather stinky years recently, but is back being a major contender for the title.

 

I didn't know he had 3 wins! I don't think you've mentioned his name in a while. It's your fault I didn't know that!

 

Correction: He has 2 wins, 2 Second place, 1 fourth place, and 1 5th place.....he also has the points lead by more than one full race.

 

When newspapers were made of paper, I knew sports stats like racing leaders, etc. Now I can't "open to a page of stats" anymore.

 

My digital TV Cable service has free music channels.....have been listening to "Solid Gold Oldies." These are the hits from the late '50's thru the 60's.

 

The internet is so handy now for that......I only get the paper because my wife insists on it; otherwise, I would save the almost $300 a year that the local paper subscription costs.

I had a dream that Leo chased after a dangerous predator cat and herded it away from a group of people I was in. He bit the cat in the hind legs and chased it out.

That sounds pretty good. I'm not a cottage cheese fan though.

 

With the summer heat down here, we frequently have "cold" meals. I remember my parents drinking ice coffee when I was little....was not all that necessary after we got AC in about 1962.

 

Cold summer meals make sense. I don't mind a good "cold meal" at all.
