That's not much of a reason. Lots of actresses have zero incentive until they decide it's a good time. Some just don't mind getting them out, especially if they deem it worthy for 'artistic reasons' or something. Look at Emma Stone...

incentives? she needs none, if she wants to she will and if she doesn't want to she won't

her career got better after true detective obviously but she's still not an A-List star, so may depend on her financial situation and level of fame

all we really know is this: Alex is pretty awesome and doesn't take herself very seriously so I can't see her being a 100% no chance type form her on out, I think there is ALWAYS a chance with her and that's better than the vast majority of other celebs we'd want to see nude

Ugh. This latest episode was fucking embarrassing. It's like they started with a no-nudity clause and worked backwards from that. In fact, it seems like it's been that way the whole season.

Q: How can we avoid nudity on a show about high-end escorts?
A: Make it more "cerebral" than physical

Q: But how do we do that at an orgy?
A: Just make it virtual. Have everyone wear shitty body suits, yet still do all the actions of an orgy. Voila! Sex without the nudity. Brilliant.

Seriously, if you're an actress who doesn't want to do nudity, go do some show on USA network or TNT. Don't come on a show on premium cable about the sex industry.

Overall, this season has been crap plain and simple. Even taking away the fact that the lead actress Julia hasn't been nearly as open or generous in terms of sex and nudity as prior seasons stars, the fact is she has also just not been good and this screams miscast. Let us remember Soderbergh wasn't the one in charge creatively this season, he handed off the reins to someone else who has proceeded to give us this boring, pretentious, sex and skinless show which is as ridiculous in this case as having a PG-rated slasher film. Having someone run this season who just wanted to show how brilliant and futuristic they are may have killed this show for good, as ratings have been disastrous. If it comes back for a fourth season, I'm going to guess one demand would be Soderbergh has to take over again and it's a huge IF that it comes back at this rate judging by fan reaction and boredom.

 

I seriously doubt the producers based the nudity content on the wishes of the actresses they cast. All that stuff would've been written long before anyone was cast. Blame the writer(s)/producer(s), not the actresses.

 

Shameless, Westworld, Power, now this show.

All these series lost naked content after some season.

It's becoming a real problem.

 

I think the problem now is you can't just have shows like this on US TV with the type of explicit content we got past seasons, actresses get a bigger say then ever now what is good as i don't want them doing nude scenes if they don't want too but it does mean more and more they have this choice of not needing to go naked any more even if they would be ok with it if they had "no choice". This lead actress was clearly told she doesn't have to go naked if she doesn't want to and well here we are, some actresses are clearly fine with nudity like the girl from Bridgeton but i think more and more in US/UK TV the nudity and sex is going to be more tame and less explicit unless the actress herself doesn't give a damn.

You know its funny Kate Winslet has that new HBO show, 5 years ago i bet she would have gone naked and had a few sex scenes but overall she's had one pretty tame sex scene. We know she's fine with this stuff especially as only last year she had a pretty explicit lesbian sex scene but clearly sex and nudity is something films and TV aren't using as a selling point any more especially if its the "male gaze" type stuff.
