Hollywood is prob. one of the places where a friend is someone who stabs you in the front. I don't know if it's possible to have actual friends there. The culture is ... different.

I doubt it'll be that bad for her. If she'll needs therapy for anything, it's probably the overall craziness that her life must have become in span of a few short years. But hey, this the business she's chosen for herself. You don't become one of the biggest movie stars on the planet by accident.

 

If you want people to just enjoy the violation of women without considering the moral implications, fine, but the last thing that can be called is "being an adult."

Also, when you don't have a problem with people making excuses and blaming the victims, but think taking responsibility and considering the harm isn't being an adult, that shows certain logic flaws as well.

 

While I feel sorry for the ladies, once these type of pics become available on the Net it's not realistic to expect people not to look at them. Males have an intense curiosity to know what attractive women look like without their clothes on. And I'm not even sure if most females are blameless either. There was some female coworker of Erin Andrews who was interviewed and straight up said she looked at the video.

No, the women whose pictures were accessed without their permission are not at fault. Not for taking the pictures, which they have every right to do, and not for using a cloud storage service. No, the fact that their security could be cracked doesn't mean it's okay to crack it, any more than a house having cheap locks makes it okay to break into it.

 

Not a clue who most of these "celebrities" are but the pageant winner? Is she famous somehow? :thinking:

I'll have to keep scanning these lists to see if any of my ex-girlfriends or co-workers appear on them. :tongue:

The article also contains the list of women the leaker "Sets Ahoy" has that haven't been released yet.

 

This list has like 100 names...and 5 celebrities!So they didnt hack celebrities they hack whatever they found and then matched names.

I think what they were doing was hacking them when they were minor celebs (and hence easier to hack), getting the pics and hoping that they would become more famous in the future (and the photos would become more valuable in the process). Because of the mass leaks that are happening there probably just trying to get anything they can for them.

I apologize for believing you would understand my point. Won't happen again. From now, in your case, I will spell it out. You like to use metaphors so I will give you one. You own a business. You hire someone to handle your books. You knew going in that this person wasn't exactly up to par when it comes to honesty. Is it your fault this person swindled you for thousands of dollars? You didn't steal the money right? That is the sole fault of the person who stole from you. Right? Wrong. It is also your fault for not doing your homework and using your brain. Such is the case here. These people knew from the start that internet land is not the safest place in the known universe to store their shit. Hackers have gone hand in hand with this stuff since day one. There is more than a slim chance that your stuff will get hacked. When it comes to being famous, that risk rises exponentially. Maybe these people are new to computers, servers, and the people who roam this space, but that is not an excuse. The bottom line is that these people who got hacked do deserve a share of the blame and no amount of bleeding heart liberalism is going to change that.
