    i understand exactly what you are talking about but what you fail to understand is that the original image does not have that much "light and shade" to begin with. to add a "more finished" look and keep the quality of the image high would mean to put things in where they were not to begin with, i.e. fake it, which i won't do.

    like i said though, if you feel like you can get a better result, feel free to try your hand at the image. i wouldn't mind seeing that better result, as i'm sure so would others. in fact, i encourage you to do that. what i do mind is the condescending tone/manner in how you said what you said. i'm fine with constructive criticism if it's done respectfully and not condescendingly.

    if you "ADD" things to the picture that wasn't there to begin with. that's what i said is faking it. I don't call adding things to an xray that wasn't there in the original image "editing"

    I don't add anything to my xrays. I also don't burn/dodge an image just to emphasize shadows and highlights. Less is more in my book for things such as these and I like to keep the skin tones natural to the subject that I did the work on. As you can see your version makes her look as if her skin tone and nipples are dark. That's just my opinion.
