    I flew around that thing on GEFS-online Flight Simulator, quite interesting, but I don't think I'd actually like to visit it.

    The Everglades isn't a swamp, in the last national election it went to Obama and it's no more racist than anywhere else in the USA (your assumption is based on a couple of high profile news stories, which aren't representative of the population as a whole). As far as racism goes, the USA is far less racist than the vast majority of other western nations, and quite a few eastern ones too.

    Florida is defined as a "purple" state, having voted for both Democratic and Republican presidents.

    Florida does have a large amount of swampland. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_swamps)

    Florida is far more raciest than some other U.S. states.

    As far as racism itself, it defers from country to country. However it is safe to say that the U.S. has the most white against black racism.

    I was talking about your characterization of old age = racist. Nothing in my personal experience supports that assumption. There's a tendency among highly conservative white people to lean toward racism, but they account for a small minority, and can be of any age. Also, racism isn't the sole domain of white folks, so why single them out?
