  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Yup. Standard HD is 1280x720 (720p). There's also 1920x1080 (1080p). I can always crop photos to fit, but there aren't a whole lot of 1366x768 wallpapers out there (other than user made ones).

I'm confused. 16:9 is 1600x900, which is what I have.

Yes. It's like fractions. 720 divided by 9 equals 80. 16 X 80 = 1280. Hence 1280x720. You just multiply each by the same number. If you have an HD TV it will either be 720p/i or 1080p/i.

Exactly, but then why is it hard for you to find wallpapers? There are tons of HD wallpapers out there.

I meant like official wallpapers. Most sites offer a widescreen option which is different than HD. For example, the Captain America: The Winter Soldier website offers only standard & widescreen wallpapers, neither of which are HD.

    Standard: http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/avengersmovie/captainamerica/mainsite/media/img/wallpapers/wp_all2.jpg
    Widescreen: http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/avengersmovie/captainamerica/mainsite/media/img/wallpapers/wpw_all2.jpg

I see what you mean. I've always just used high resolution photographs so I've never noticed much of a difference.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do. I mostly crop my own stuff though.

I got my current wallpaper from Michigan's (my avatar) official athletic site. They actually have 1366x768 wallpapers.

I normally have something different, that one is just my default background.

I rarely ever use "made" wallpapers, unless I come across something I really like.

Yeah, I just like using my own stuff. I've got plenty to choose from. :) Although, National Geographic's website always has really good wallpapers.

I've never been happy with anything on National Geographic, it's just to generic.

Dogs can produce about 10 different vocal sounds. Cats can produce over 100.
