Well... early last week she brought up about getting a cat... I assumed that she meant for her apartment and said sure, that sounds cool. She spent like half the day looking up cats and sending me pics to my phone of the cats she liked. Then at dinner, she brought it up again and I was like, whatever, it's your cat. And she was like, "it's our cat, silly." And that set off an evening of misunderstandings and misinterpretations. That was kind of like the kindling to fire all week. :|

I'll... just get a dog. Been meaning to anyways, especially if I move.

Well, the cat thing was a really small thing that somehow became a big thing simply cuz we didn't bother to talk about it... and we didn't talk about it cuz we got lazy and comfortable in the relationship. And we got lazy and comfortable in the relationship because it became an easy thing and we didn't want to work at it.... so says my older sister.

But it makes sense, so as I said, taking some time off to see if we still want to work at it. Also, to see if we miss each other. Admittedly I do. :\

HA! Buddy said something similar and thought I should tell her that. I resisted, of course.

It's all about commitment and future planning. Though it may be unconscious sometimes, that's really all there is once a woman passes a certain age.
