You know I was walking down my street (it's fairly long but still just one street) and you won't believe the stuff I saw.....I honestly wanted to take pictures of everything and post it show how unbelievably filthy it is.....but I thought it would be too depressing.

Here is a list of what I saw though :

1.trash,
2. wide open drain with dirty sewage water flowing,
3.old pizza box torn up and left on the road, now soggy with rain,
4. puddles of dirty brown water
5. they are also constructing a new building, so the whole plot is dug out and everything, but for some reason they have stopped, and now the entire plot is filled with rain water which has turned stagnant and formed algae,
6. people have also thrown garbage into that water,
7. toilet seat on the pavement,
8. sacks of garbage left on the pavement
9. lunch discarded on the street.....just thrown there, foil container still holding some food and a plastic bottle.
10. crate left on the pavement.

 

That's not too bad.

Except for the dirty sewage water (and there are exceptions to that) you could've just described the Las Vegas Strip on any given day. Tourists disgard their trash left and right without giving any thought to it even though there are trash cans all over the place. They easily keep a battalion of people busy all day cleaning up after them. Typically you'll see:

1. Empty beer cans and bottles
2. Empty cups and glasses
3. Discarded plastic bags, some empty, some with trash inside
4. (my favorite) Lost items of clothing. You name it, I've seen it. Literally
5. Broken mobile phones and other personal items that no longer serve their purpose
6.. Vomit
7. Unidentifiable liguid puddles
8. Food
9. 1000's of 'in room' entertainment business cards

The list goes on. I could take pics of that shit but I prefer not to. But I think I will.

I fucking hate littering !

Wouldn't leave any of that stuff on the Street, except for Point 6.

Also, no cigarette stubs ?

 

I do like to think that.

Mostly I know it's not true, but I still like to think it as a way of expressing my hate for this country.

 

Cigarette butts are ubiquitous no matter where you are Ray.

Humans are pigs no matter where you go.

Hey Jack I read your description above and sadly
enough you could be desribing any slum or shanty town in my country.
Although from what my Mumbite friends tell me the contrast
between the slums and affluent localities is too stark and depressing..
Its the 3rd/4th world we have been cursed to..

 

I know, the contrast is really funny, because you'll find these really posh shops and buildings within all this crap and once your inside it really all feels normal and then suddenly you step out and bam,...you're faced with an open manhole and a pile of garbage.
