I think you're confused. Congress has the power to investigate, to gather information for a variety of purposes. But Congress is not federal law enforcement -- it doesn't arrest people, charge them with crimes, or conduct trials. That is what the Department of Justice, the FBI and the federal court system is for. The Obama-led DOJ/FBI gave Hillary a pass in July 2016. Trump's DOJ recently reopened an investigation into how Clinton and her aides handled classified material related to her use of a personal email server. DOJ is also looking into whether the Clinton Foundation conducted “pay-to-play” politics or other illegal activities when Hillary was Secretary of State. We'll see how it all eventually turns out.

Whenever conservatives don't get their way, or in some way feel slighted, they resort to attacking their opponents with vitriol and lies in order to discredit them, even if they engage in the same sort of shady behavior themselves. Which they do, because there's a certain amount of corrupt behavior that goes hand-in-hand with partisan politics, almost all of which revolves around enriching themselves. You want to get rich? Go into politics. The notion that investigation into personal enrichment through politics is not merely stupid, it's patently absurd because it would open up everyone in Congress to scrutiny. And that ain't gonna happen. That sort of political altruism went out the window a long time ago. A very long time ago. So, my apologies, you're not stupid. You're just nuts if you think anything will come of it.

As far as the email server issue, it's funny how the GOP conveniently forgets about how they do the same thing. Do you recall how W deleted millions of emails on a private server? All he tried to do was undermine the DOJ, the same institution that's now investigating Hillary. It's all so ridiculous. But it's very typical of the GOP because they're just a bunch hypocrites. But mark my words, they won't allow a precedent to be set that could possibly come back to bite them in the ass somewhere down the road. Ain't gonna happen.
