I guess mine was to extreme for the topic, I would never use it, but for me it exemplifies Heaven and Hell

I really actually liked yours. I think yours is one of the ones that made it hard to vote. I love the symbolism.

 

Congrats Sid. Can't say I'm looking forward to the new theme entries, I'm actually quite scared. P4 and Sid must be frontrunners.

I understand that, I was just addressing Gobacks comment. It's a tough theme to think of something though.

 

My sig theme this week was "War is Hell" I tried out that text on the sig but the image was too powerful to ruin with text so i dropped it. I did try to make it a bit more three dimensional but it only worked a wee bit.

 

I tried being more serious this week and I hope mine fits enough. I already sent it in.

 

Sent mine in, just hope it's ghey enough.

 

i voted for yours P4. despite having never visited NY pre-911, that day affected me on a personal level intensely and is probably the only thing i've ever witnessed that i still struggle to believe happened. having been there since, and waiting to go back, i absolutely love the city and would definitely describe it as some sort of heaven. love the imagery you used and it looks great.

 

Thanks Lukin! NYC is great, not as great as Philly , but I love going there. That day affected my family on a personal level with the death of a cousin in the North Tower. I have also been to Ground Zero, shortly after and recently and the enormity of it can not be appreciated without actually being there.

I have also visited The Pentagon, and even though it is a Military Installation, the damage that was caused, the lives lost, and the amazing recovery can not be measured or processed without seeing it in person.

TV does little to no justice in conveying the true magnitude.

i completely agree, i've visted ground zero twice, once in march 04 and once in august 06 and you're right, it can't be described. fantastic city, without doubt my favourite i've ever visited. never been to philly though, been through pennsylvania briefly on a trailways between rochester and NYC!

always had a half baked plan to do the east coast, never came to fruition though, would still love to do it though.

think i'm in a european minority that actually likes the states! or should i say i ADMITS liking america. most will bitch and moan about foreign policy whilst lapping up the music, movies and sport!
