I agree, I just always tend to blame a lack of entries on a poor/tough theme choice.

Lol. I always leave it to the last day/minute. I tend to stick with my gut instinct of what I should do that way. Unless I'm drunk.

Congratulations on the win GB. I think it's a great theme choice, I'm sure the lack of entries tends to be because some of us don't find the time to make one, as opposed to an uninspiring theme. I've just had an absolutely horrible week but I'm gonna try and get one done tonight.

 

As a casual observer since the start of this game I have noticed that when the theme is somewhat specialist then the entries drop off.

I can imagine that it is difficult to come up with something - perhaps a list or pool of ideas should be created by all those involved and when it comes decision time it can be used as a reference or guide. I am sure there are guys who hope a certain theme willm come up that wont. They could chuck their Idea in the pool.

 

I suggested a while back about making a poll once a month where everyone chucks in an idea and the four most popular ones would be the themes for the next four weeks, but it didn't fly. Anyway, a perk to winning is being able to pick a theme that you like.

 

Anything is possible and all discussions are welcome, I do think having some prior knowledge of the weeks to come would allow for more creativity and entries. 4 days can be a tight schedule to hold.

 

Well maybe we should try it for a change? Get everyone to nominate some themes and then hold a poll.

 

I'm trying to come up with an idea. Did a Joplin/Hendrix, but I didnt want to look at it.
Thought of Lennon but we just did a couple Beatles weeks.

I thought maybe the Stones as mummies but wasnt sure if it'd qualify.

Mostly, I just run into ideas that are sure to piss SOMEBODY off. Like just a candy bar 1/2 eaten for Mama Cass. That's just not the direction I wanna spend time on.

It's not a bad theme(I'm certain there'll be really good tribute sigs), I'm just not good at it.

 

I knew i wasn't good at the theme of last week but i did put something in, i knew i was gonna end on the bottom.
