Sig Duel Tournament #3 - Names, Rules and Discussion

All he did was cut it out for other people to use, so I'd hardly call is a rip. I mean neither Helium nor I are going to just place it in the 450x150 box and press submit. I just find, and I said this to helium as well, that .png cut-outs offer so much more versatility, especially for a stock image theme. Since there's no set background you're free to do whatever you want, and incorporate the character in any way possible.

Calling these a rip would be like calling any cropped sig a rip since it's property of the original photographer and nothing's been changed except the size. But that wouldn't happen now would it?

Ah, I didnt know he didnt 3d model it from scratch. If that's the case, I'm all for it. Like you said, it looks great and cuts out a lot of needless cutting and blending to get a usable piece. I'm good to go with it.

It's what I do for most of my sigs on another forum. People render them for you to use for sigs. The only reason the tag them is for notoriety on render sites.
I prefer using renders because as GB said, the possibilities are much greater than with a picture.

 

You can just change the theme for this round from Fixed Stock to Fixed Stock/Render to allow the use of renders.

If you want to get the ball rolling then send a few pics that you like to him so when he comes online he can say yes or no to them, then send you suggestions if he doesn't like yours.

By the way for any of you who are unsure, The stock pic/render is just a base for your sig. You can use any part of it, take stuff out and/or add stuff to it.
The picture will be posted in your poll thread, so as long as we can tell that you've used the picture in your sig then you're flying.

May I please request an extra day for this round........so all competitors can have a day to agree on an Image..........I think everyone will be cool w/ that as some are communicating across seas and aren't on line the same times......

SpiderSwims has dropped out because of problems with photoshop, which is a shame.

AFX was next in line, so I'm just waiting for him to come on to see if he's interested.
