Sig Duel Tournament #2 - Names, Rules and Discussion

The two people in the battle could choose an external party to send it to if they aren't happy with sending the sig to their competitor.

The easiest way is to tell who you're paired with that you're ready, wait until they're ready and do it then.

I dunno, it's completely up to you lot how you want to do it.

 

I did sent mine to Spider so he can see i'm done, and i did mention it here so Sid knows i made mine in timeframe.

 

If Spider would make a sig now he knows what mine is then so be it

 

Where's the trust guys? I have no problem with my opponent seeing my work beforehand, if they want to scrap and redo their sig that's up to them.

I'm all about simple friendly competition.

 

I think the level of all the sigs are very high and everyone will have a hard time to vote, so doesn't really matter if my opponent sees my work beforehand or not, just my opinion.
Everyone is making fucking amazing sigs keep up the good work guys!!!!

 

That's exactly what i thought, that's why i did sent spiderswims my sig when i was done. I know spiderswims is not in same timezone as me so because i'm ahead of him i did sent mine to spiderswims so he knew i was ready.

I agree 100% Don't like sending my sig to my competition.........Need a third party to post the polls............

 

Not that I'm not confident in my work.........it's just nice to see the polls posted w/out seeing what the other person did...IMO..........hopefully ours will be up soon.........

 

With a one on one battle you will see what your opponent did make, you can't vote for your own sig anyway. I don't mind that spiderswims did see my sig, i chose to sent him my sig so he could create the thread. If spider would have made multiple sigs and would choose one after i did sent him mine, then so be it. I do trust my opponent.

 

I agree with Cold As Ice, it's still a friendly competition. TheNewGuy sent me his sig, but I would have happily sent him mine if I had finished it first.

And I realy didn't base the creation of my own sig on the looks of his. I just make a sig that I Think looks good and fits the theme.

 

I was chatting with AFX and I'm thinking of ruling that any votes from a person with 0 posts won't count.

Just want to hear a couple of your thoughts before I go ahead with this.

 

Depends how long he is a member, if acount is made one or two days after poll is made then it should not count. Jake2go only did hit thanks button, so he would not have made a post but i think he should be able to vote.

 

If they have 0 posts and the account was created on the same day as the poll, it's a little suspicious ... but if it's an old member that simply don't post, I don't know why he couldn't have a chance to vote ...

 

yeah i agree no posts isn't solely the best way to judge, you risk taking genuine votes from someone who may otherwise win a round. maybe since this has arisen recently, anyone with 0 votes who registered Nov 09 or later?

for example, look at all the round 1 polls, there's a user called "Shadox" whose voted in all of them, no posts, but he's been a member for over a year

 

I'd be very dissapointed when someone would register new only to vote for his signature. But i dont think anybody would really have the nerve to do this, difficult to say whether their votes count or not.

 

think it's fine as it is, and like Lukin said there enough members that don't post at all and are just lurkers just my opinion
