  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Yes, for occasional premium members like me, it's good enough for the file to be split in parts while downloading... but ofcourse to the reasonable extent.

like for eg: a 150mb file split in two 75mb parts at RS is acceptible, but split in five 30mb parts is absurd.

and well..there are other reasons also, if we make this rule mandatory, traffic of phun will reduce considerably, as 65% to 75% users/visitors here are low-net speed users I believe, so it will become quite impossible for them to download/upload anything from-to phun.

...And also uploaders will hardly get any points for their uploads, if they somehow manage to upload the videos, because mostly there will be premium downloads.

    ;)

buddy :) ! having a broadband or cablenet doesn't mean or insure that you have high speed net . Many low-speed-schemes or limited download limit or 8 to 8 plans are available under broadband or cablenet.
And unless you actually have a dl/ul speed in mbps (in real time) with unlimited dl/ul capacity, it's low speed.

And also internet providers in eastern part of the world are not yet advanced enough to provide low cost, break free, consistent speed on a regular basis as west.

    ;)

I do find it annoying if the video has a small file size for winrar or hjsplit parts so I get the complaint on those videos.

But I often remote upload like TaiPan or just leave a video in its original format if it came in playable parts. Gives the downloader the option to preview parts of a scene and skip parts if they want. You can also play the video as soon as you download it, no waiting on rejoining. Nice to watch one segment while you wait for the others to download too.
