When my daughter is a grown woman like Miley (not a teenager), she will be free to dress or act as she sees fit. And please do explain how your own membership to a pornographic site like phun makes you in any way more evolved than the rest of us. If you watch porn, you are no better than the people who make porn. So only when a woman is fully covered from head to toe and conforming to your personal definition of appropriate behavior is a woman classy, and not a skank? Who made you the final arbiter on women's rights and sexuality? Good thing you are here to tell us hypocrites a thing or two.

That's the question that should be asked to you. For hating her so much, or disproving or whatever other word you want to use, you people sure spend a whole lot of time talking about her and commenting in her threads. I dont spend ANY time in Kardashian threads. Why? Because there is no point. I made a comment about them sucking and moved on. I just find it funny how the judgy moralists always jump on a hating bandwagon. Im sure youd be bitching about Lohan if she was still the "chosen one" to hate on.

 

This has nothing to do with Miley Cyrus for me, it's about what she and the other figures like her represent. I target her specifically because she seems to have a particularly fervid fan-base on this website. This is a social and cultural issue for me, not a moral one. I don't think she's doing anything "wrong." She's just trying to survive and have a good time, like anyone else. The "she" in the equation is a very trivial component. It's Miley Cyrus today, it was Britney Spears yesterday and it's going to be some Jane Doe tomorrow. The issue is a policy decision or a corporate venture. It has nothing to do with how one woman behaves on stage over the course of a few years. It has everything to do with how we as a society have bent over and accepted this bull shit as a perfectly normal cultural trend, ignoring entirely the destructive effects this has on the consciousness of an entire generation. Millions of teenagers and young adults are growing up listening to this consumerist, sexist horse shit, believing that it's music. It is the modern western equivalent of propaganda. It detaches them from reality as it forges this atmosphere of gross materialism and carnal obsession. That's why I treat it so seriously.

Lets show a little restraint here fellas. Keep the commentary focused on the opinions rather than the person who has said opinion. If this thread turns into a flame war its not going to go away, but you might for a little while.

 

Miley has said repeatedly that she is not a role model. We argue against your integrity because your obvious misogyny makes it the clear weak point in your arguments. My wife and I do view these images together, and enjoy what we find together as well. Your hypocrisy in coming to sites like this then degrading women for giving you what you so obviously want is monumental. So what is it that we say that makes the rest of us hypocrites in your eyes?

Miley is a role model whether she likes it or not. She had kids growing up idolizing her. That doesn't just end because she doesn't want it anymore. Geeze, everyone should just be able to toss their responsibilities away when they grow tired of them, huh? My misogyny? You're just using words to try and sound smart. I love women. Viewing this site with your wife? I actually admire that, but don't presume to tell me what I come to phun for. It's the celebs. Not the porn. My comments are on the overall degradation of this society by hedonistic animals, and sadomachistic perverts treating women as sex puppets. If you pick an argument, at least know what you're fighting against.

 

At what point did she ever take responsibility for other peoples kids? She took their money sure, but that's it. Responsibility is that duty we take upon ourselves, not that which others try to thrust upon us. And of course anybody is free to drop their responsibilities at anytime if they don't want them anymore. Its can be very unwise, or cruel to do so but still a choice.
I'm sure you love women. The fact that you would call them names for daring to express their sexuality in a manner of their choosing makes that obvious. And when you find the celebs that you come here for (in various stages of undress I might add) what is it you do with those images and videos? So maybe you don't watch the "porn", but if you try to tell me you come to this site for anything other than prurient reasons I will have to say I simply don't believe you. You say your comments are on the overall degradation of our society, but they sure seem to center around Miley a lot. You don't seem disparage other women nearly so thoroughly even though many of them get up to much the same antics that she does. So is it really the hedonistic animals you are fighting against or is it simply that because you find her less attractive you think it is ok for you to try to degrade her?
