Were the primaries rigged? Most likely. Will you even get a good candidate under current system? Most likely not.

But to me, the biggest question about primaries is why did DNC even allow Bernie Sanders to run for their nomination? I mean, we're not talking about someone who just entered politics like Trump, here is a 30+ year career politician who through his entire career always run as independent. Hell, on several occasions he even declined Democratic party nominations for House or Senate so he could run as Independent. Yes, he might have sided with them in House and Senate but he was never (before 2015) their member and he will stay in Senate as Independent now that he lost primaries. It would be much better for DNC if they did not allow him to run in the first place...

 

And, that's totally on the GOP. The party of wasting taxpayers' money over non-ceasing "investigations and committees". How many Benghazi investigations were there? 7. How many Benghazi congressional hearings were there? 33. And what did they find? Not a God-damned thing. It was nothing more than a political stunt to defame Clinton. And, they'll continue to do that if she's elected because their voter-base is completely brain-dead.

 

So...nothing new then...

 

I doubt they really thought he would be a threat. A 74 year old far-left liberal from Vermont who identifies himself as a socialist and who nobody has ever heard of before.

Honestly, when I saw him in the 1st debate I thought he was a kook.


It's the same with Trump. Why did the GOP let him run? Because nobody thought he could actually win.

Well, by that, then Trump shouldn't be allowed to run as a Republican. But in both cases they are not running as a Democrat or Republican, they are running for the nomination of the party. So there is nothing to prevent anyone from doing it except for how rigged both parties usually make it for anyone but the party faithful. The DNC or GOP don't allow anything, but obviously the DNC was favoring Clinton. Sanders has caucused with the Democrats for decades, so much less of a stretch than Trump. Both parties have so much of an advantage and have rigged it that running as a independent is still only good enough to spoil a election, but would never win without massive popular support. Everyone would have been better off if Bernie had won the nomination....except Trump. Oh well....

 

Well, Trump at least had some prior connections to GOP dating back to Reagan presidency (wasn't he considered as potential VP in 1988?) and he certainly never declined GOP nominations like Sanders did with DNC.

But yeah, not seeing him (and Trump) as a threat was an epic fail on DNC and GOP...

 

Support...eh, smack the rhetorical crap from the right...always. Trump...never. We've been over this again..and again...and again....and again. The election is unfortunately what it is and we've all made our choices. The hyperbole, accusations, and sometime lies are so egregious that I look at them for what they are and if they will change anything. The speeches, surrogates, comments, articles and many times so-called "facts" the right comes out with assume the people exposed to it are stupid or won't think for themselves. Democrats do some of the same, but nowhere to the same degree. A line like "corrupt to the core and crooked like a corkscrew" is.....nothing new, here or on any other fourm. Saying Trump is a narcissistic, vindictive, bullying, misogynist would be.....nothing new. The "leaks" might be interesting, and in a normal race they might make a difference, but again Trump has changed the playing field so much, and not to his benefit, that they have become background noise.

 

Trump is putting "rigged election" front and center, and sourcing Drudge to support his opinion he's winning....the end is near.
