    We get plenty of tornadoes. Nothing like Oklahoma or that area, though. Plus, we get the rain from the hurricanes, if the track takes them north into the midwest instead of out to sea.

    Eek. That sucks! I feel bad when it hits in town.

    Our hurricane seasons the past 3-4 years haven't been too bad on the east coast of FL *knock on wood*.

    I'm not looking forward to this hurricane season though because of the oil spill. Hurricanes have been worse on the west coast or south of FL recently. So who knows what will happen this year.

    We get more tornado warnings than anything. But occasionally we get a small one.

    It was an F1 (the lowest). It went over the building I was in and touched down a half mile away.

    Straight-line wind storms can be a lot worse, and are often mistaken for tornadoes. One of those storms knocked a 100 year-old tree over onto the roof of my parked car once. Crunched it.

    Hell, even I've seen a tornado and I live in Blighty. In fact, I read somewhere that we get more hurricanes and tornadoes here than in America per annum, in relation to the population of course. So if there were only 60 million Americans you'd get less then we do. Only thing is, ours are puny in comparison.
