Cops: Self-proclaimed millionaire skipped out on $500 strip joint bill

STAMFORD -- A man who claimed to have diplomatic immunity and millions in the bank vowed that the White House would be calling Stamford police with a reprimand Tuesday after he was arrested for trying to skip out on a nearly $500 bill from a Richmond Hill strip joint, police said.

Eddy Morales, 39, of Wethersfield, was held in lieu of $230,000 bond after police discovered he had nine warrants for his arrest on failure to appear in court charges. Morales was additionally charged with sixth-degree larceny after he was unable to pay his $467 bill at Beamers Cafe strip club Monday night.

A manager at the 230 Richmond Hill Ave. club called police at 11:30 p.m. Monday to report that a man whose credit cards were being declined was unable to pay his bill.

The manager told police Morales showed up with several other men at 8 p.m. and said he was entertaining some business associates and wanted to start a tab. After the champagne and lap dances flowed for hours, Morales went to pay his bill and was turned down by the credit card company, police said.

At that point, Morales told the manager that he and his family were worth millions and he was welcome to call police.

When police arrived, they gave him a chance to call friends or family to make good on the bill, but Morales, who was becoming surly, was unable to raise the cash, police said.

While in his cell Morales told officers that his family was worth a half billion dollars and the White House would be calling with a sharp reprimand, police said.

Morales was held on the additional failure to appear in court warrants issued by State Police in Wethersfield and by local police in Newington, Bristol and Rocky Hill.

I was just trying to be silly and equal the trucks that race to the trucks I see on the interstate. The Jake Brake makes a loud chattering muffler noise - if you've driven alongside a braking truck at highway speeds you probably know what it is. It can startle you.

I doubt that race trucks use the jake, it's too powerful for an unloaded truck

it's hilarious because the guy was trying to bullshit his way out of paying a big tab that he ran up at a strip club ... the old "don't you know who I am? I come from a very rich family!" strategy" ... hmmm if your family was worth hundreds of millions, I think you'd have $500 in your pocket ... or at least an American Express card without a spending limit! LOL
