How was your day, Thore?

 

Not bad....bathed the dogs again this morning....that is always a bit of an ordeal....they don't like their baths, but they behave well. Takes almost as long to clean up afterwards than it does for the actual bathing...

 

That's the truth about dog baths.

 

My previous dogs...g-shepards, did not run away from me, so they were bathed outside....much easier.

 

Blaze and Leo need the bathtub. They don't like baths either.

 

My downstairs full bath has a deep sink with a faucet that is threaded to fit a standard garden hose....I cut a section off of an old hose, put the male and female ends on it, so now I have a spray nozzle I use on it. I don't have full pressure on at the tap, just enough for a gentle spray or shower....helps a lot. Before I had to constantly dip a plastic tumbler for wetting and rinsing.

 

That is high-tech dog-bathing! I have to use the dipping method.

 

When we designed this house almost 25 years ago, I wanted a bathroom that we could bath our very old female shepard in the winter, the kids could march straight into a shower, I could do the same if necessary......I needed the deep sink so I could put a mop bucket in it.....little hi tech here, just saw a way to make things easier for both me and the dogs. rinsing their undersides is much easier...before I had to draw about 5 inches of water in the tub for their final rinse, now the drain is always open......except when it is clogged with their fur.

How is your FIL, Thore?

 

The pathology confirmed that the tumor was malignant.....and all of the lymph nodes came back clear of cancer cells except one.....we are waiting to see what the doctors recommend.
