anyway, it's running quite nice now anyway so maybe it doesn't matter.

 

cant really say that i care much for the new OS:s you get from Microsoft. Maybe it is because im getting old. It was simpler a few years back with most things on the PC.

Just trying this dvd out, since a friend wanted me to "upgrade" his pc, and I figured if this old pc could take it maybe his too would.

 

That's good. Probably won't be able to multitask as much.

 

isnt it simpler to just use a DVD-player and a TV or does your friend only have a computer?

 

I'm installing Windows 7, not viewing a movie..

to give you an example CAI. I find it was easy to install simple programs and games. Follow all the steps to the end and your ready to launch. Now one of my favourite games started a cooperation with an online service called STEAM a few years back and now i have to have a new account to get all the stuff for the game that i want. Before STEAM was involved i could get everything directly from the CD or DVD.

 

friend was supposed to call when he got back from town, that was over an hour ago, it should only have taken 30 minutes.. I hope he's lost his way

 

My biggest complaint with MS Windows is that unlike DOS, every time there is an "upgrade" the entire interface changes. The upgrades to DOS over the years was seamless. The upgrades to Windows was/is like learning an entirely new OS.

 

All im saying is i want to play the damn game but not sign up for stupid newsletters that pops up twice a month.

 

use a "fake" email whenever you register @ anyting, that way you don't have to worry about your regular mail getting clogged up with anything that you don't want.

 

i did the problem is that the newsletters are in popupform and will come once i start the game. Im sure i can find a crack to solve it though. Its a popular franchise so there is bound to be more pissed of lonely gamers out there besides me.
