How does Mr Skin avoid DCMA or being sued by networks?

My jaw dropped when I read that studios reguarly send MrSkin advance screeners. I mean, I knew Hollywood was cynical...but that cynical?! Wow.

And you know there are some actresses who tell themselves they're only doing nudity when it's artistic and serves the story, I wonder if they know that.

I think the actresses themselves know it's a bullshit explanation! I seem to recall somewhere that contract negotiations based on which body part gets paid how much etc...
And also there are countless actresses that did nudity when they were unknown yet somehow when they're famous the nudity is not germane to the script anymore?!!

I've seen direct quotes from actresses that admitted that very thing , and it goes back a lot of years.
There was also a distinction between where the movie was screened, vis-à-vis Europe vs. North America. The European versions kept the nudity intact whereas the American screenings removed the offending body part (nipple, bush, etc.).

This concept became a niggling point for me back when Jennifer Aniston's nipple was somehow found and released years ago from 'The Break Up' when the version of the movie that made it to the screens did not show her nipple. I recall at the time that the DMCA letters went flying out to any website that showed the pic, too.



Was she paid to expose it and then changed her mind or did she expose it, realize she couldn't get paid more to do so and then later vetoed it? :hmmm:

As I recall, Halle Berry admitted she agreed to the gratuitous topless scene in Swordfish for an extra 500k. (And they're worth every penny)

However, I would expect that Monster's Ball had a much smaller budget and couldn't really throw around six figure offers for just for more from the lead actress. Nudity was probably in the script no matter who was attached to the role, and she took it knowing it was a something that could win awards.

Nah, never stole anyone else's material. I used to get PO'd when I'd see some of my PS collage work on a PAID site with their logo pasted over mine or worse yet cropped out. Some of my stuff is still in DAI's pic database, which I still have a free lifetime membership to since I was one of the original contributor's over there. Back in the good ol' college days when I had WAY too much free time...

Some of the actresses may feel that way, but certainly not all.
