    Well it's quite obviously because she's never been in Playboy or Maxim. You should write your Congressman every day (or a phone call first thing in the morning) and request that he convince her of the benefits to her increasingly unsuccessful career in doing so.

    I think Katy's lack of grammy success is due to her dance routine and costumes being perceived more important than the music itself. Britney Spears was nominated eight times before winning one for the best dance recording in 2005. So Katy will eventually win one even through it might be the dance recording one or a life time achievement awards that performers get for sticking around long enough with a perpetual paparazzi following in tow. (That is one Grammy that Kim Kardashian can win even thought that creep can't sing.)

    The Grammy board of directors have banned her from receiving a Grammy, because they know if Kanye West tried to grab her mic and disrespect her, she'd coldcock him on the spot.

    I'm in my mid thirties. I generally like trance music, Dave Matthews Band, and a smattering of rap, country, etc. And I would say this - she is a heck of a singer. The thing is that she actually sings live a lot more than most. There's probably about 5 singers in pop in the last 20 years who could nail the notes in 'firework' without all the digital auto-tune that everybody has these days. Look up her performance of that song at the Victoria's Secret show a few years ago and have a listen. (also, stay for the enjoyable viewing, because otherwise we are ignoring the point of these forums)
