  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    The Celebrity Gifs thread is in the Celeb forum and the Celebrity Collages thread is in the Creative Backyard forum.

    Why? Shouldn't they both be in the creative forum? By definition, an animated gif is a creative creation.

    Every other thread in the celeb forum is for picsets of celebs, except for the gif thread, which also repeatedly violates the "no collections" rule for celeb forum posts.

    It's a great thread...it just seems out of place.

    we just want to avoid that "resurrected" threads are constantly blocking the first pages of the forum - i think that´s reasonable.

    wouldn´t avoid any repost

    Do any of the Mods know what's going on with Rapdishare? They are deleting files at record speed. Is there some new rule or something??? I know I tried to post a movie and it lasted 15 minutes.

    although only partly a about-phun-question: just a few thoughts
    - they started to scan files much more intense
    - there are always people busy reporting content

    zip/rar the file. with password-protection.
    never upload the "original" file. add a few bytes, maybe a cover-pic (a small txt-file with "uploaded by perfect4ths on phun" is funny when people steal your links and post them elsewhere as their own "work"...) to the archive (changes checksum)
    rename the files. abc.rar will last longer than piratesIIdvdrip.rar...

    :2cent: about appaerently useless threads in the GF: just leave such threads alone - they´ll vanish pretty fast without replies.
