I honestly wonder what's disrespectful about that quote.

 

Well some readers of the tweet has clearly decided to interpret it as they desire. Leaving it too have been a missfire. The intentions may have been noble but the results didnt give that view. Why not talk about his acomplishments in the movies or even memories from the harry potter movie set.

 

She did, in multiple tweets. Only this one was jumped on by a bunch of misanthropes.

The Internet was full of memes showing Rickman's picture with quotes of his in which he expressed sentiments they admired. How is this any different other than that you don't think women deserve equal rights and dignity with men?

 

Funny how the Internet is full of women expoilting themselves for the pursuit of the mighty dollar, to a point they don't exactly help their case do they.... Why do I need to learn at skool when I can just crack a few buttons and fake a smile

I wonder who she thinks she is speaking to with her feminism.

The women in India? The women in Syria? The women in China? The women in Nigeria? The women in Pakistan?

I hope she's not wasting her time talking to the women of the USA or the UK. Women in London, LA and NYC don't need her opinion. They are living the dream compared to women in India, Syria, China, Nigeria and Pakistan.

Or maybe the men in India? The men in Syria? The men in China? The men in Nigeria? The men in Pakistan? Maybe Isis? Maybe Boka Haran?


She is a wealthy coddled naive girl who has zero idea what she is talking about. Pretty to look at, a lousy actress, and not much of a tweeter.

She wants to preach feminism she should hop on the next plane from Heathrow bound for Syria. Let her stand on her soapbox in the town square, there.

 

People get upset over the most trivial things.

 

That's the thing with famous people. Their word gets around. Besides, do you truly believe there are no issues in London, LA or NYC?

 

Its all a publicity stunt. Emma realized her hollywood career was going no where, all her movies since potter series have been a boxoffice bust. She needed to create some buzz and so she pulled out the feminist card and went public. What does a spoiled rich girl like Emma even know about the suffering of women in third world nations anyway?

 

Woman do deserve equal rights and dignity. The thing with at least some feminists, however, is that they want, or at least talk in a way that implies that they want preferential treatment. That's what many don't like about them in my experience. I don't really follow Emma Watson so I don't know which type of feminist she is but the very word is aggravating to many (and not just men) as it reminds them of the latter type.
