I say the technology is there, but the artists themselves still don't know enough about what makes a photograph of a living, breathing human being look like one. We're getting closer all the time, but we're still on the wrong side of the valley I think. As much as I enjoyed it, I honestly wish Jurassic Park hadn't happened now. We jumped into CGI about two decades before the techniques were there to put CGI images next to real ones and not look like crap. And I think we've probably started putting 3d rendered boobs in games about 20 years prior to the image quality to be good enough to cause the intended effect, and not vomiting. Keep in mind all the shortcuts that have to be taken to render the scene over and over in 1/60th of a second or less.

The biggest problem with the pics above, seriously, is her face. It'd be less creepy using real photos of a wax figure instead. It's like a T-600 series model with the rubber skin over the endoskeleton.

 

Found the Safe for work version, and what else I have seen the actual nudity is from a Director's cut Version. Wether or not it will make its way out is unlikely now with all the controversy going on

Theres no directors cut. The scene posted above is the only way that it is presented or was meant to be. The screencaps showing her boobs were taken using a dev kit ps3 which allowed debug mode to be entered. This allowed a free moving camera to be used. This is not possible on the disc version of the game on a store bought ps3.

It looks like Youtube took down the link I sent. I personally love the shower scene. It is like a work of art. I'd love to see the Well scene with a full nude camera angle. They did a superb job on this. It's simply awesome. If any of you computer guys can locate the scene and re-upload it, it would be a fine addition to the Phun archives!
