    I have a very eclectic taste in music. I will give anything a shot. I only go back to the good stuff though. Some of these ladies are pretty good. Others are not so much. It really just depends on the song.

    I'm a metal listener mainly, but certain female pop is a guilty pleasure really. Lana Del Rey is my favourite... then Avril, Delta Goodrem etc

    Really interesting thread.
    I do not listen to Miley, Katy, Gaga... and any of the others.
    So yeah, I'm just here viewing them in whatever condition when there is some beautiful imagery produced. Might be some appearance here or some staged "caught by paparazzi while shopping" thing there.

    Differnt thought:
    Although only looking at them, I can't shake that they must be way more lightheaded than the actors. Way more controlled and managed. Unless they play along, nothing is going to happen to their careers. The industry machine burns on females they can shape and use however it needs. If you remember how the big music stars of the last 10 years lived:
    - JLo divorced mom in her 40ies
    - Britney ... good lord
    - Xtina ... same
    - and so on, wikipedia has it all

    A few exceptions are there, e.g. Queen B (<- needed to scratch that off my intrahwebs bucket list, sorry) and maybe Lady Gaga because she is her true self. Taylor Swift could be named as well. But I am sure they have some tight discipline and laser beam focus to make mishaps disappear. If they even happen.

    I listen to a variety of genres. Rap and r&b are my favorites but i can jam out to some nirvana or alice in chains. Hell, i even like a few slipknot songs. I dont mind 80s pop either, but it may be due more to nostalgia. I would never listen to the pop music of today of my own accord. That being said, with a 9 and 7 year old at home, im pretty well versed in whats hot on the pop charts.

    I never listen to pop these days. Although some of the songs are OK, I don't enjoy hearing them 25 times a day.

    While true, being open to new ideas and sounds is important. It's the same with most everything in life. If you aren't open to new ideas and sources of inspiration, you'll end up eating burgers and chicken strips your entire life instead of experiencing sushi, Vietnamese or Indian food. Imagine if someone said they only drink Pilsner beers. It's the same as saying "I only listen to X style".

    For people that claim they only listen to one genre, have you experienced Bob Marley? Muddy Waters? Tchaikovsky? (if you haven't experience classical music live, you are missing out) Nelly? Dierks Bentley? Kenny Chesney? (spoken word rap is really the only thing I can't listen to anymore)

    Have you actually listened to Justin Bieber? I don't care for what I've heard but I gave it a shot.
