  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Here's a crude view for you Jamms - there are many more pieces to the puzzle than this, but this is a simplified version. Think of the server being a post office or ups hub...You take a pre-addressed package to your local office(would be local server), they look at the address and forward it to the central office (would be central interner server - your ISP), central office forwards it to destinations local office (would be their local server) then on to it's final destination (would be another client such as yourself).

    Because of the demand of requests, Phun has several servers to balance the load, trying not to cause a lag time (much like large cities have much larger distribution centers than small cities, meaning more employee's to distribute the workload). Clear as mud?
