  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Wow, is this done in illustrator? If so I really have to get learning because I LOVE the 3D text, it (literally) adds a whole other dimension to the sigs. :thumbs:

    Illustrator has an extrude and bevel filter but I've never used Illustrator before so I ended up going back to photoshop.


    First duplicate the original text layer and shift it over like this...

    and then use the pen tool to connect all the missing parts up and fill em in, it looks a bit of a mess but it's hidden anyway.

    add a gradient to the 3d part and fucked around with the layer style on the main text layer.

    I know its not the best tutorial but I hope it helps. There's probably an easier way of doing it but I couldn't be assed googling load of tutorials on 3d text so I just did it my own way.
