    I don't see any color information that wasn't there to begin with.

    They're fake if the information is not there to begin with. And many x-rayers ADD information: they "paint" in information that was never there. They are definitely fakers, and the images are fake.

    If all that is done is the adjustment of contrast or saturation, you're getting the same thing that was there to begin with. It's like looking out the window and seeing the tree on a cloudy day or a sunny day. Same tree, different contrast and saturation. Nobody is adding any branches to the tree. Photographs (and motion pictures: videos, etc.) are adjusted all the time for saturation, hue and contrast -- without painting in information that never existed.

    If you add information to an image that was never there, you're a faker. (imo)
