In his defense, what do you say in a situation like that? You ask questions and you'll be raked over the coals for being a perv male, you go silent and people speculate you're fantasizing or something, a lose-lose situation for the guy just doing his job lol.

Apparently the director was somewhat hands-off and let them put it all together. And watching it again(for research strictly) it doesn't come off as overly glamourous or anything, it comes off as 2 women somewhat messily consummating their desires. But yeah, it would be difficult to be remotely turned on filming a scene like this just based on all the direction alone, let alone the fact that you're doing it with someone you're not involved with like that. Though with a beautiful woman in a situation like that, all the awkwardness in the world won't entirely overcome the animal instincts we have, there's just no way to not be turned on a little sometimes. Still professional, but I have read of actors getting aroused no matter what they are telling themselves

That's why they're so difficult to film and look realistic.

Just look at a amateur love scene and a professional counterpart & you'll see the difference.

You are correct Sophie. There comes a point where it's on you, but where you come from makes a huge impact for your life. Just one example; if 2 people are identical in most ways, in terms of looks, intelligence, personality, etc. but one grows up with shitty parents and in a bad neighborhood while the other grows up with a great family and an upper middle class home, if the first one winds up being much rougher around the edges so to speak one can't necessarily say it's all his fault for being like that. Shias case is different of course, but he did have a fucked up childhood, very odd family. Does that excuse all his actions and behavior traits for his entire life? No, especially since he has the resources to get the necessary help or therapy. But would he be different if his upbringing was better? Maybe. But some of his actions have given off a simple "I'm an asshole" vibe and he has also endangered others as well, that's when it goes to a point where you want to slap the guy and tell him to grow up, so I get your feelings towards him. That was a longwinded way of saying I agree mostly, but you know I tap right Sophie?
