In the days before Lockdown (when every day became the same)
they used to call today Wednesday and on that day Chloe & Elle arrived with Comfort Pics.

Thanks for all your comments, I guess it was the sort of "Perfect Storm", everything has been turned upside down
for the majority of us. We have extended time on our hands and just when I thought the site would be busier,
its become whenever I'm on like a tomb.

I'm not asking for replies for the sake of replies, but I've loved the interaction we've all had in the past.
I've done my best to keep this section active, I even reopened the Ask Sophie thing (think I got one reply,
for which I'm grateful for), but me coming on here and no one being around I guess got to me.

The Site is not dead, when I posted yesterday, there was plenty of recent topics in the "I fisted the girl"
Category, so I guess its the lounge interaction or maybe just my blog has fallen away.

I told my Sister about being on here, (a bit hard not to she was living with me) when I told her about the extended
quietness she said if you're getting little or no reaction, and you want to write, you might as well get a proper
blog than write into a void.

I don't want replies for the sake of them or to keep me amused, we all have our Isolation to get through and we're getting
through it in different ways.

But I'd rather go than write on here and remember how it used to be.

I will be more interactive when i can but in my case my work goes on like normal. I cant work from home with the tasks i do.

 

I feel so numb when i hear all daily reports from my country. Another hundred countrymen have passed away. You listen to what they say but it somehow disappears in a haze. Maybe its a way to cope with it. A kind of safety measure.

 

I'll start replying more. I check here almost every day but not many times a day. I read every word you write and am always happy to see what you've been doing in the past 24 hours. This is The Life of Sophie and I didn't realize you wanted a lot of feedback. I'll be happy to check here multiple times a day and reply.

 

I'm so bored right now I'll be happy to chat as much as you want. I messaged an old female friend from highschool last night and we recorded 1 minute messages to each on Messenger for about an hour. I unfriended her in 2016 because of her posts to me about Trump winning. She was picking on me and I got tired of it. Time passes and I got over it a long time ago. Most of my family are Trump supporters and we avoid talking about politics. They are nice people who seem brain damaged to me as far as the president goes. Several of my family members feel like I do but they are in the closet because they don't want family members to be mad at them. I try to tell them they aren't mad but they know I'll prove what they say wrong so they don't want their delusions pointed out to them.

Thanks for the replies! sometimes things people write can have a really positive effect on other people.
Sadly so much stuff online is negative and that's all we hear about.

Its like Summer here (in London) it's meant to get up to 25c, that is going to be really difficult for anyone
that can't get out or doesn't have access to a green space.

Cat: I named Vince and comes to say hello, he looks well looked after, I think he just likes company
because he isn't after food.

A lot has happened since 2016, I'm glad you're in touch again!!!

Anyone who doesn't live in the City sometimes doesn't understand about Urban nature, we had a Fox
(see the early days of the blog there's a pic) that used to come for breakfast and a sleep in the sun.

Since isolation Urban nature seems to have boomed, the lack of humans has done them good!

Plus no traffic or planes, you need birdsong all the time.

How are you all spending your days, how are you sleeping?

 

I'm working around the yard and thinking about a small garden. I'm not sleeping well. Part of it is just getting older and my knees hurt at night and the pain wakes me up. Sending out lots of resumes. I'm waiting on a call for a job right now. Boredom seems to sap energy. I got my stimulus check this morning so I'll go to Home Depot after lunch and pick up some plants. That will be some excitement for once.

 

I had some fan theories about devs and told them to a friend after he watched Ep 4. One of them turned out to be correct and I kinda felt like I spoilt it by telling him.

I think part of the reason there is less interaction with your blog is that we are all fairly bummed with everything that's happening and speaking for myself, sometimes I just read stuff on the board but don't really feel like participating.

Also you should check the ask Sophie thread more often as you currently have 2 unanswered questions, just sayin...

I am still work as my job is "essential" so my day usually goes, work - eat - browse internet - playstation - movies/tv - eat - bed.

Not sleeping very well despite using alcohol or melatonin. Sadly can't get marijuana from my friend right now as he lives with an immunocompromised person.

 

I must admit that I have been addicted to the new Final Fantasy game on PS4 for the last few weeks, and that on top of a lot of personal reflection and introspection I've been going through has had me on here a lot less than usual. For that I apologize, I just figured that I shouldn't rant about any personal stuff on here because no one comes on here to see some guy whining about the minefield that is his mental health.

 

Final fantasy has never been my thing really. It may have something to do with the fact i always choosed other consoles in my youth rather than the one FF was on. Third day in a row we have great weather here. Not quiet 25 but around 20 degrees celsius. It will likely be the same tomorrow. And im not complaining.

 

I need to get it as soon as I can, beat the original with my roommates back in the day and it was so joyous!

Gardening is a really good idea, I've found getting together a new routine and adding structure to your days
really helps, i know what you mean with knees.

Devs is beautifully shot if nothing else, its really short as far as episodes go, i'm now onto ep5.

I used to take melatonin (can't take it anymore) and it really helped, my sleep patterns are a joke.
For years i've been waking up at 3am, i'm getting really vivid dreams since Isolation started.

I got like that, having lots of enforced time but not wanting to do anything.
That's when i really had to start added structure to my days, as it was making things worse.

Had Flatmates who have been gamers, but i never got into them.

You're ok,these are really surreal times, you're not alone there.

I know, the other day there was a freaking toucan in my backyard sorry, actually, I was gooogling what do they eat (mostly insects and some fruits) but it hasn't return

It's the bright side of this outbreak.

It's kind of sad that our return to "normal life" will suck for them
