    Well said.

As for Megan, they said it was a hamstring injury but didn't say how serious it was, definitely not disciplinary.

In our own little club, 5 years ago you might get 10 girls wanting to join at the beginning of the season, by Christmas there would be usually 4 left.

Last year the number was 12, by Christmas it had gone up to 15.

Plus the number of Women aged 40-50 (The Missed Generation) are forming their own clubs. Now it's down to the English FA and what they come up with for training for the next generation, they have the role models, now back it up with facilities that are still lagging behind the Male game.

But I heard today in the news that the Premiereship is interested in taking over the Women's game, if that happens that really will be a game changer.

11.7 Million watched the game last night making it the most watched programme of 2019 so far, that doesn’t account for online streamers/iPlayer viewers.

You've been playing again with that time-warp thing someone sent you, haven't you! I told you it looked far too complicated to be simply a vibrator!

For those Celebrating today.. Happy 4th of July!

    Meanwhile filing under "Hearsay"

Phoebe Waller-Bridge to be murdered by Villanelle in Killing Eve 3

The hit show’s creator is writing herself apart so she can get assassinated by Jodie Comer
    https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...to-be-murdered-by-villanelle-in-killing-eve-3

Its good news if PWB is writing "Killing Eve" Series 3, S2 was good
but didn't quite hit the marks of S1, which unlike S1 wasn't written by PWB.

I saw the Final "Jessica Jones" last night, I loved it (far in advance of S2), the "Sam Spade" narration by Jessica really worked.
Unlike Nick Cage & Daredevil this Season was written as a conclusion and it shows.
KR has said her door is open should Disney be interesting in bringing JJ back.

Tonight starting Stranger Things S3, then off to France tomorrow, talking of which.

Neth vs Sweden, I think Sweden ran out of steam, (Full time/Extra Time/Stoppage Time) they were tired but did they try!!!
That bodes well for England, the Netherlands put up a goal-line defence that Sweden couldn't penetrate.
I heard a Sports Punter say on the BBC (Dion Dublin) that it will be a walkover for the USA.

I'm not saying they'll win, but the Netherlands may cause them some problems.
Maybe they'll go for the old Jack Charlton Ireland approach and "Put em under pressure").
I'm not sure how many are still in the team but the Netherlands are UEFA European Women's Championship 2017 Champions.

    This could be good!

    Thank you!!!!

I'm currently going around in Headless Chicken/Blue Arse Fly mode.
I've so many lists (old school paper lists) in front of me.

Problem is when I get I won't have any time off as its work, work, work when I get back.
It's London and Edinburgh to nearly the end of August, then its holiday time.

But I have two days off next week and I'm going to see...

    Van Gogh and Britain
This major exhibition brings together over 50 works by Vincent van Gogh to reveal how he was inspired by Britain and how he inspired British artists.
    https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-britain/exhibition/ey-exhibition-van-gogh-and-britain

Years back I saw two of Vang Gogh's Sunflowers side by side at the National Gallery.
So I didn't want to miss this!!!

Then if I get time (never mind money) I'm going to try to see this.

    Cindy Sherman
This major new retrospective explores the development of Sherman’s work from the mid-1970s to the present day
and features around 150 works from international public and private collections as well as new work never before displayed in a public gallery.

Shortly off to France, Bonjour Nice.

    Meanwhile

Thanks for the History Lesson Trump (btw what did you do in the War and you encourage Sons/Daughters to join the Military, have yours?)
Most of all thank you for updating my knowledge that there were airports in 1776.

"Our Army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over airports,"
Trump said of the fighting force created by the Continental Congress in 1775.

Isn't there already "Armed Forces Day", it was on Saturday, 18 May, when the USA shows respect to those that serve.
Thanks to President Harry S. Truman, it's a day to pay special tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces.

Then what was that about last night?

I'll let Kristen express my feelings to the Glorious Leader and his electioneering for which the US taxpayer will end up paying for.

:pat: why is it that Presidents are getting dumber in my lifetime specifically. The movie 'Idiocracy' was not meant to be something which we aimed to make a reality people:nooo:

Ego. As George Carlin once said and I'm paraphrasing, war and military might is just one big dick-waving prick fight, where the leaders send others off to die to prove how big their dicks are. Every war starts like this, "What? They have bigger dicks? Bomb them!". Plus, I'm sure Trump wanted his own Kim Jong Un moment of having a military parade in his honor, since that is his ultimate dream, to be a leader like that(a dictator).

"Our Army manned the air, it rammed (?) the ramparts, it took over airports, it did everything it had to do. And at Fort McHenry under the rockets’ red glare, had nothing but victory. When dawn came, the star-spangled banner waved defiant."

He decided to mashup the revolutionary war and the war of 1812 too

Bonjour from Nice, in a hotel this time as opposed to the bigger out of town place last time,
    thankfully this is more central.
Yesterday was like a furnace 34c and very humid, today is a little bit cooler at 28c,
    but its 64% humidity.

I'm not sure what that means, but I seem to be swimming in sweat (I'm not glowing).

Wondering how both teams will cope in this? I can't call it, but...
Either way I'm going to enjoy & say Au revoir to this team.
    It's been quite a 51 days!!!!

Watched Coco last night on the Big screen at Wimbledon (in a bar here) that girl is amazing.

i wish there was a possibility to give both teams a medal. Both Sweden and England put their hearts and soul into it. But alas one has to win. Well done Girls im proud of you and a whole country are celebrating with you in Nice.

Just the start for England, I see them only getting better and more powerful as more time and development energy gets put into the womens game there. And just think of all the girls inspired to really play at a competitive level or even start to kick around a ball, since we know soccer is life there lol(nothing wrong with that BTW). But with financial backing into player development and growth of the womens game overall there(finally), I believe it will be England going even further in the not-too distant future.
