"The magician fools the eye: while we are distracted by one thing, his sleight of hand reveals another. Cameras in themselves are a box of tricks and in his photographs, Amyx often uses flowers as props, mixing the brilliant color of exotic blooms with the stark depths of black and white photography. We are drawn to the splendor of the Amyx nude, but our eye is at first hypnotized by the patch of color, confusing our senses and drawing us as if spellbound into the photograph."

David Le Beck
David Le Beck is an American art and science/medical photographer. Artistically, his main focus has been on both the beauty of nature and the drama, grit, and beauty of modern urban life. David says his primary inspiration is the beauty found in nature and man. He's been shooting nudes for the past few years too, and has long admired artists working in the genre. The female form possesses an innate sensuality, he says, and feels it's the of the highest expressions of beauty. "What I try to evoke", he says, "is the incredible power of sensuality, sexuality, and beauty in the female form and countenance.

David acknowledges some major photography influences, some of whom are Edward Weston, Ruth Bernard, Adolphe William Bouguereau, Joshua Reynolds, Vermeer, Ansel Adams, Gabriele Rigon, Beatrice Neumann, Clarence Sinclair Bull. "The list is endless!" he says.

Steve Vates
German artist Steve Vates was born in 1956 in the picturesque Rhine river area near Cologne. He feels fortunate to still live there. He is married and has two children. It was through photography that he met his beautiful wife. While working as a photographer he got to know her as a model and she soon became his favorite collaborator - to the point that they eventually fell in love. She continues to work with him as a model, in operations support, and as his biggest supporter.

Steve works primarily through agencies shooting for various magazines, and does the occasional side project such as calendars and the like. His passion for photography has led him all over the world to places like Brazil, Yemen, Australia, and Thailand.

Geoffrey Vail Brown is a fine art photographer based out of Traverse City, Michigan. His educational background includes both fine art and computer science. His photography ranges from pure film-based, black & white images to some of his more recent, complex works which merge composite digital images, film, paintings and sketches into a single final print.

Mr. Brown has been shooting figure studies since 1992. When Geoffrey isn’t shooting, he runs a suite of web-based internet solutions designed for artists, photographers and models.
