Amber Heard's dire finances revealed​

Amber Heard's dire financial situation has been revealed after court documents showed the actress is losing money at an alarming rate.

The 30-year-old filed for divorce from husband Johnny Depp last week requesting he pay her spousal support of $50,000 (£34,500) a month plus her legal costs. A California judge shot down Heard's request for spousal support in court on Friday. The actress cited irreconcilable differences for the split, which has triggered a battle over Depp's huge $400million fortune.

Now in income and expense documents filed by Heard's team, it has shown that she makes roughly $120,000 (£83,000) per year from her business interests before receiving payment for any films she might appear in. The files also show that her basic monthly income is around £10,000 (£6,900) but she spends almost $44,000 (£30,000) a month on 'basic expenses'.

This includes $10,000 (£6,900) a month on rent, another $10,000 a month on 'entertainment, gifts and vacations', $2,000 (£1,380) a month on clothes, $2,000 a month on eating out and even $300 (£207) a month on laundry and dry cleaning.

The actress also spent $2,000 on auto expenses and transport and her red Dodge charger is still parked outside Depp's palatial Los Angeles home.

In addition she also spends another $10,000 a month on miscellaneous costs such as pet supplies, and paying for her publicist and agent.

She is also paying her attorney Samantha Spector $550 (£380) per hour to represent her in her divorce from Depp.

Last year her total income including cash from her film work and promotions was $250,000 while her expenditure was $209,000, leaving her a small profit.

However, the papers show that so far this year, she has only earned $26,000 but has spent $55,000 on professional expenses related to her production company.

She also has $25,000 (£17,000) of savings in the bank and is still making residuals from her roles in The Rum Diaries and Magic Mike XXL.


Details of Heard's finances come as Forbes magazine estimates that her estranged husband is worth $400million and in 2015 alone, made $30million. The couple are getting divorced in California, a state which divides marital assets using the 'community property' method. This means a judge will simply divide a couple's joint assets equally while allowing the individuals to retain inherited and premarital assets.

It has been suggested that Heard would be in line for a minimum $15million payout.



The documents come as Heard's lawyers issued a lengthy statement yesterday insisting she was a victim of domestic violence and her actions in divorcing Depp were not motivated by money. She alleges that she 'lived in fear' of her husband of 15 months and that he had been abusive.

She claims that after another argument earlier this month, she was left with a bruised face after the actor threw an iPhone at her head.

Meanwhile a friend of Heard also claimed Depp tried to suffocate his estranged wife with a pillow and punched a wall so hard, it forced him to take a month off from filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest as he required surgery.

The pal told the newspaper: 'This incident really stuck with me because she confided in me that day that she feared for her life after an intoxicated Johnny tried to suffocate her with a pillow.'

She added that it wasn't the only time she had seen a drunk Depp attack Heard.


The latest claims follows allegations Depp punched a wall during a fight with Amber Heard, forcing him to take a month off from filming.

Depp is said to have turned violent during a heated row with his estranged wife in March 2015 while he was working on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in Australia.

He injured his hand during the reported confrontation in the apartment the couple were sharing and was forced to fly back to the United States for surgery, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Depp had a pin inserted in one of his fingers and filming was halted for a month. His injury was reported at the time, but it wasn't clear how it had occurred.

It is just one of a string of claims that has surfaced as the pair begin a bitter divorce battle.[/B]

The actress's lawyers said in a statement that Heard had at first declined to give a statement to the LAPD regarding the abuse but was later forced to so she could 'set the record straight'.

Her lead attorney Samantha F Spector and her co-counsel Joseph P Koenig said: 'As the result of Amber’s decision to decline giving an initial statement to the LAPD, her silence has been used against her by Johnny’s team.

'Amber did not provide a statement to the LAPD in an attempt to protect her privacy and Johnny’s career.

'Johnny’s team has forced Amber to give a statement to the LAPD to set the record straight as to the true facts, as she cannot continue to leave herself open to the vicious false and malicious allegations that have infected the media.

'Amber has suffered through years of physical and psychological abuse at the hands of Johnny.'

'In domestic violence cases, it is not unusual for the perpetrator's playbook to include miscasting the victim as the villain.'

The lengthy statement then goes on to explain that Heard is acting no differently to any domestic abuse victim and she can no longer endure 'relentless' attacks on her character.

It adds: 'With her statement Amber hopes to give the LAPD the opportunity to conduct an accurate and complete investigation into the events of that evening and before. 'If that occurs, and the truth is revealed, there is no doubt that Amber’s claims will be substantiated beyond any doubt, and hopefully Johnny will get the help that he so desperately needs. 'From the beginning it has been Amber's desire to keep this matter as private as possible, even though LAPD officers responded to a 911 call made by a third party.

Meanwhile, a representative for Depp said in a statement on Thursday; 'Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.

'Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.'

A month later he touched down at the same airport with Heard and with his hand still wrapped up.

So she has to live on a rental place with 10k per month, spend 10k on entertainment etc, 2k on cloths, 2k on eating out, 10k on her pets, publishist and agent, even though she can't afford it?

First lower the unnecessary stuff, then request support if you can't make it through. I am not saying she shouldn't do anything, but 2k on cloths and 10k on entertainment per month? She needs a reality check.

It's not like they've been together long enough to not be able to live out of that lifestyle.
